VIOLIN TEACHING

Teacher Carmina started playing the violin when she was 11. Surprisingly, the interest started when she saw kids carrying their violin cases during a recital. She found it cute and later on asked her mom to enroll her to violin lessons, alongside her piano lessons. Her love for the instrument grew. She performed a lot in school programs during her high school years. Afterward, she took a bachelors degree in music. When she was in the Conservatory, she auditioned for an orchestra scholarship and passed. She was a member of the school orchestra until she graduated. After graduating, she joined a professional orchestra which gave her opportunities to perform in different concerts and events around the Philippines.

To better equip herself to violin teaching, Teacher Carmina took Suzuki Violin Method teacher trainings with Dr. Lan Ku Chen and Teacher Hoei Tsu Chen. She mentored 4 students who successfully passed the Suzuki Violin Book 1 Examination. She also familiarized herself with the ABRSM Curriculum and mentored 1 student who successfully passed the Violin Initial Grade Examination.
